THE CENTRAL COMMAND Press Association. PALMERSTON N., To-day. Although not officially announced, it is understood that Colonel J. H. Whyte will succeed Colonel Powles as colonelcommandant of the central military command. Coloniel Whyte is at present attached to the central command.
