Newspaper correspondents take to task Mr. J. A. Thompson, a former member of the West Australia n Legislative Council, for his attack on the Maoris. One, signing himself "Piriticlaims that the Maori has made his name as a fighting man and a loyalist, and has demonstrated his citizenship in all walks of life —as lawyer, doctor, clergyman and politician.
