It was stated in the House of Commons that of the meat supplied to the Navy in 1926 Britain supplied 1 per cent., the Dominions 83 per cent., and foreign countries 16 per cent. j Part of the meat bought from foreign countries was bought at a time when Dominion supplies were not obtain- | able.
