COWS ELECTROCUTED

LIVE WIRE ON FENCE

(From Our Own Correspondent) MASTERTON, To-day. An unusual accident occurred at the farm of P. Hubbard, of Pihautea, when seven dairy cows in milk were electrocuted. Mr. Hubbard had been dismantling a shed and had the building half removed when a heavy gale during the night completed the job for him. Electric wires supplying the plant with power were still attached to the Jmilding. and a live wire fell across one of the fences. Altogether seven cows came in contact with the fence and were electrocuted. Mr. Hubbard’s loss is estimated at £2OO.
