STOLE A WATCH

YOUNG GIRL’S CRIME “SUPERVISION NEEDED” V'ELLIE BROWN, aged 18, has been leading the gay life lately. Her days of fun are over now, for a time. She pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day to a charge of stealing a watch valued at £3. Chief-Detective Cummings said that accused had been an inmate of an institution, and she stole the watch, which belonged to a girl who was dead. “She has been attending dances and keeping late hours,” said Mr. Cummings. “She needs supervision.” She was remanded to appear on Tuesday for sentence.
