STRAND, ONEHUNGA
“DANCE MAGIC” Ben Lyon, First National Pictures’ star, comes to the Strand Theatre, Onehunga, to-night, in “Dance Magic,” Clarence Buddington Kelland’s absorbing tale of Manhattan theatre life. Opposite him in the film, directed by Victor Hugo Ilalperin, is Pauline
Starke, who was his leading lady in “The Perfect Sap,” the mirthful burlesque on detectives which was played here last season. “Dance Magic,” which brings New York’s main street, Broadway, in all its colour and fast-
moving tempo to the silver screen, was one of the most-sought-after stories of the year. Isabel Elson, star of “The Ghost Train,” Helen Chandler, well know Theatre Guild player; Mabel Swor, one of Broadway’s best-known beauties; and Harlan Knight, make their screen debuts in the film. Louis John Bartels, known throughout the country for his successful stage role, “The Show Off,” is also featured in the cast.
