EXCURSION FARES TO NORTH SHORE

CHEAPER FERRY TRIPS Special reduced fares to motorists and other excursionists are offered to city people by the North Shore Expansion League this week-end. Arrangements have been made by the league with the Devonport Steam Ferry Company and on Saturday and Sunday motorists who wish to tour the North Shore may travel at half-fare. Any boat trip to the North Shore will be sixpence return for adults and twopence for children. It is thought by Mr. T. Walsh, secretary of the league, that daylightsaving will help greatly to popularise the marine suburbs. The beaches and the free life will call with an even more seductive voice this season when the lengthened evenings will allow the city people to travel across the water quite frequently.
