CHRISTMAS RUNNING

WELLINGTON-LYTTELTON FERRY SERVICE TN order to meet the demand for accommodation in the Ferry steamers from Wellington to Lyttelton during the Christmas holidays, the Union Steam Ship Co. has arranged for the Wahine and Maori to make daylight trips between the above ports. In addition to the usual daily departure each evening (Sundays excepted) at 7.45 p.m., it has been arranged that the Wahine will leave Wellington at 8.15 a.m. on Friday, December 23, and Saturday, December 24. The Wahine will connect at Lyttelton with the night train for Dunedin the same day. The Maori will also make special daylight trips from Lyttelton to Wellington, leaving Lyttelton at 7.45 a.m. on December 23 and 24, arriving at Wellington in time to take up her usual running at 7.45 p.m. the same days for Lyttelton. WELLINGTON-PICTON SERVICE The Tamahine will commence her summer timetable leaving Wellington on Saturday, December 17. She will make her first week-end excursion to Picton and the Sounds from Wellington on Saturday, December 31.
