Railway Trolley’s Plunge from Bridge
TWO SERIOUSLY INJURED UNUSU/U. ACCIDENT (From Our Ou.ii Correspondent) NGARUAWAHIA, To-day. 'A N extraordinary accident in A which two railway trollies collided on a viaduct resulted in two railwaymen falling 40ft with their vehicle and suffering serious injuries. Tho mishap occurred late yesterday .♦ternoon when the two trollies were - t «ging over the viaduct hail-way between Ngaruawahia and Glen Massey, on the Waipa Railway and Colliery Co line- One °* the tr ollies waa flexed. and fell about 40ft with its occupants. Two of them, J. Hil land T. Herbert, each suffered a broken leg and other injuries. Others escaped with a severe shaking. \ special train from Glen Massey brought the injured men to Ngaruatrahia this morning, both arriving in a critical condition, though their condition is now reported as satisfactory, gill had a badly-sprained ankle as well as a broken leg. and both are suffering from concussion. It appears that both were saved from death by the way the trolley capsized.
