RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM

“THE FLAG LIEUTENANT” A film destined to be one of the greatest successes ever screened is the Astra National British production of “The Flag Lieutenant,” which, after a record - freaking run at the, New Regent Theatre will be shown tonight at the Rialto and Regent Theatres (Epsom). Henry Edwards's performance in the name part is a revelation of this accom relished actors versatility. Accustomed as we have Dorothy Seacombebeen to the more restrained roles principally under the direction of Cecil Hep worth, a happy-go-lucky naval officer will win him new friends by the thousand. He is ably supported by Fred Raynhom as his friend, Thesiger; Fewlass Llewellyn as the Admiral; and Lionel d'Aragon as the fiery commander of the beleaguered fort. Of the feminine members of the cast, perhaps the most interest centres upon Dorothy Seacombe, an Australian girl, who has now reached fame on the silver sheet. Miss Seacombe plays the part of Mrs. Cameron, while Lilian Oldland portrays Sybil Wynne as the feminine lead opposite Edwards. A special naval prologue will be a feature of the programme.
