SHIP’S COOK IN CUSTODY A coloured ship’s cook, Robert Harris, appeared at the Police Court, Onehunga, this morning before Mr. J. E. Green, J.P., on remand from November 11 on a charge of attempted suicide. It is said that Harris inhaled coal gas from a tube. At the request of the police a further remand until November 21 was granted, when the case will be heard before a magistrate. Harris is to be* kept in custody in the meantime, because of his wife’s apprehension for her safety.
