ROYAL MARINES FORM GUARD OF HONOUR FOR BRIDAL PARTY THREE BRIDESMAIDS A wedding of considerable interest took place at Wesley Church, Taranaki Street, Wellington, when Lorna Ellen (Poppy), only daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Meachen, of Wellington, was married to Frederick Arthur Hiscock, fourth son of Mrs. aid the late Mr. Hiscock, of Southampton, England. The ceremony, which was fully choral, was performed by the Rev. C. Eaton. The bride was escorted by Mr. W A. Veitch, M.P. for Wanganui, an old friend of the family, and was preceded by her bridesmaids. Her beautiful frock was of white mariette, delicately embroidered with silver, plainly cut and adorned with cascades and sprays of orange blossoms. A long tulle train fell from her shoulders. With this was worn a silk tulle veil with a coronet o' orange blossom. She also carried a beautiful bouquet of white and paw pink roses and maiden-hair fern. Th© bridesmaids were Miss Aileen Bacon, in bois de rose georgette, with lac© and velvet ribbon to tone, wearing a silk crinoline hat finished with velvet ribbon and pastel flowers, carry' ing a bouquet of flowers to match nr. fr ° ck - . The Misses Trissie Jewiss and Durie, of Wanganui, were in turquoise blue taffeta, shot with silver, and finished with georgette frills. were of blue silk crinoline, fini&nea with velvet ribbon and paste! flow* ’ and they carried posies to blend. Th© three bridesmaids wore 10 s tulle scarves finished with silver ta sels. v. . _ aT , Mr. Harold Meachen was best man and Mr. Keith Thomas and Mr. Arthur Meachen were groomsmen. f Following the ceremony a guaroo. honour comprised of RoyaJ Mari, from H.M.S.
