THE SON OF AN ACTOR H. B. Warner, the Stephen Sorrell of i Herbert Brennon's picturisation of the ! , arwick peeping novel, “Sorrell and I Son,” is himself a native Englishman. ‘ Warner was born in London, the son of ! Charles Warner, the English actor. __ Like Warwick Deeping, author, and , Kit Sorrell, character, Warner himself j studied medicine after graduation from I a college preparatory school in London. However, Warner abandoned his j course in medicine after 18 months and went on the stage. It is also interesting to note that ' Warner played with Gloria Swanson in “Zaza,” and that now the two are to make pictures side by side in the ! United Artists Studio. Los Angeles. } There Miss Swanson will produce Som- * erset Maugham’s “Sadie Thompson,” j under the direction of Raoul Walsh, while Warner is acting in “Sorrell and i Son” for Herbert Brennon.
