Shaw’s charges, and there will not be any fitter horses at Epsom this week. Jellicoe Favourite

Cardinal Logan, favourite for the Jellicoe Handicap on Saturday, put in an appearance, and A. Hendrieksen’s fine-looking speed-merchant was much admired. He suffered no ill-effects of his hard Cup race, and will be in the pink on Saturday. He was geared up this morning and stepped over several circuits freely. Daytime, Hendncksen’s other charge, also looks well forward but has had no racing for some time. He was given a few rounds at useful pace. Useful Work

Direct- Morning, looking as fresh as paint, reeled off three circuits at a strong pace. Peter Dean was also hunted along briskly, but left bis feet on© or twice. J. Shaw has an addition to his team in the consistent Canterbury pacer, Bold Bill, who is not at present being asked for much exertion. Pace Not AM On

Dad's Hope was decked out in full regalia and tlie onlookers were noticed adjusting watches, but although W. Clifton let the chestnut run along smoothly the pace was not right on. The Ribbonwood gelding is in excellent heart. In Good Order

R. B. Berrv *rrived with Sea Pearl and Jean McElwyn, and both pacers look fit and ready tor their contests. Thev have had a fair amount of racing this season and this should prove advantageous. Mr. G. McMillan’s pair was not fully extended on the training track to-day.

Keyed Up Right Woodvale, who has never looked better. nor worked more kindly, was given several rounds free-legged, moving nicely. The aged Wildwood Junr. gelding is keyed right up to concert pitch and if not tricky at the barrier must run good races. Team Work H. Kinnimont’s team, Gold Jacket, Van Rich, Black Gold. Blue Jacket, Roma Bingen and Anselm were given, medium pace work. Garth Robertson also gave his contingent, Horizon. Great Ballin. Actor Ballin and Admiral Hood useful toil, and Geo. Webb, with Hypo. Lord Lou and other members of his string indulged in strong exercise.

Strong Work C. G. Lee gave Plorent plenty of work on the sand, the Florizel gelding being galloped several rounds. The gelding is in nice condition, despite the fact he has not raced since June. Nelson Tasker, unhoppled, paced attractively over several circuits, pleasing his numerous admirers by his bold style and splendid Appearance. Latest Arrivals The latest to arrive for Saturday's fixture are Great Change, Dillon Huon, Sister Beatrice, Petroleuse (J. Bullock). Uramic, Master Cute (J. E. Smith). Bright Light (A. E. Adams), Real Todd (C. Willetts), and Our Patch (W. Fleming).
