PUT “WIND UP HIM”
NERVOUS YOUNG MAN PROBATIONER’S PLIGHT Horace Fletcher, aged 20, charged at the Police Court to-day with breach of probation, complained that the probation officer “put the wind up him’* every time he reported. The probation officer said that Fletcher had not reported for a month, and had failed to make restitution as directed. The magistrate, Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M. (to accused): You'll get the wind up a bit more if I send you to prison. Accused was remanded to appear in a week for sentence.
