MANUKAU COUNTY

PUBLIC POUND SITE The county inspector reported to the Manukau County Council yesterday that during the month 23 applications to erect buildings and additions valued at £7,932 were received. Three notifications of infectious diseases were received, being two cases of diphtheria at East Tamaki and a case of tubercular disease at Mangere.

The Manurewa Town Board wrote approving the proposal to establish a public pound at a more convenient site to districts south of' the existing site at Otahuhu, and appointing a representative to confer on the question.
