KAITIEKE COUNTY COUNCIL
DISTRICT WORKS At the last meeting of the Kaitieke County Council the district engineer, -Mr. P. Keller, wrote stating that the formation of a road giving access to the Piriaka Public School would- cost about £4O, and inquiring if the council had funds available, and what its attitude was toward the work. It was that the county engineer prepare a report for the next meeting. The chairman’s honorarium for 1927- -$ was fixed at £ 100, to be paid halfyearly. The chairman, Cr. T. H. Crocker, Cr. Devereux and the clerk, Mr. W. H. Hill, were authorised to sign the transfer of S. Brown to A. E. Grogan, of Part II- Block IX., Owhango Township, and affix the county seal thereto. Advice was received from the Medical Officer of Health to the effect that I recent fire had destroyed the fences a . : the Owhango cemetery, and asking lt " the council could make a grant toward re-erertion. It was resolved that the Cemetery Board be offered a grant II £1 for £1 for the purpose. In reply to a communication from Mr - C. Phil Smith, of Taumarunui, it as resolved that he be permitted to .at timber on Tunakotekote Road and Wanganui Valley Road, subject to his Patting and keeping these roads in orer to the satisfaction of the engineer, a nd that he furnishes a suitable bondsman for £l5O. Cr.
