FESTIVE MORN COMING RIGHT

AT the Otahuhu spring fixture last year Festive Morn, who had the previous month won the unhoppled horses’ heat at Epsom, was again successful in securing the stake attached to the Papatoetoe Handicap, which is set aside for trotters or freelegged pacers. Although the daughter of Great Audubon and Welcome has not added to her laurels since then, she ran sufficiently forward at the recent Auckland fixture to suggest she will be ready for the fight during the Otahuhu meeting. Festive Morn is engaged in the Stewards’ Handicap on the opening day, but may be better suited by the two-mile unhoppled race on the concluding day.
