“CRADLE SNATCHERS"
SOME SIZZLING COMEDY Husbands go a-hunting and grow cynical and bored. Suspicion and a craving for youth and thrills complete the vivid fabric into which thd* lively dialogue of “Cradle Snatchers” is woven. To see and hear this vigorous American comedy is to drink a plentiful draught of the spicy, sizzling decoctions which mark the modern stage production at its best. Full of merry quips, and cynical humour, and served
with daring sauce, this is the type of comedy which may well be depended upon to “go,” but in less capable hands it could easily fall short of the effect obtained. The ecstatic gurgles of Miss Olive Sloane, the proprietorial air of Miss Jessamine Newcombe, and the sadly-disturbed stateliness of Miss Bertha Belmore fill each minute with its 60 seconds of mirth. The playing of the three young “cake-caters,” and of the troublesome husbands, complete an excellent cast. The “Cradle Snatchers” season continues to-night at I-lis Majesty’s.
