The usual monthly meeting of the Kaipura Hospital Board was held on Friday Accounts totalling *1.314 los ■>d we’re passed for payment. The engineer was authorised to procure additional batteries for the elec.rie nshtins plant at the Te Kopuru Hospital owing to the additional lighting required for the new maternity annexe Tho engineer reported that ht liacl visited the Paparoa Hospital in company with Messrs. Skelton and Sterling and arranged for improvements to the water supply- . , , The secretary was instructed to Purchase a first aid outfit Cor the constable stationed at Mangawai. Mr \ J Martin brought up the question of providing a motor-car for the district Maori nurse, who was greatly overworked, and inconvenienced as far as travelling was concerned. The secretary was instructed to obtain full particulars for the next meeting.
