BROKEN TIME DISPUTE STRONG DISAPPROVAL By Cable. — Pr f ess Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Saturday. A meeting of representatives of the governing bodies of amateur sports was held at the invitation of the British Olympic Association. A resolution was unanimously carried, strongly disapproving broken-time payments to players and endorsing the protest of the British Olympic Association. The resolution, however, added: “While this meeting considers the action of the executive committee has strongly prejudiced the prestige of the Olympiad in the world of amateur sport, nevertheless it feels that each individual sport is justified in supporting the Games as long as the international federation which controls that sport opposes payment for broken time.” The meeting further expressed the opinion that the next Olympic Congress should take strong measures to see that the control of the Olympiad is placed in the hands of a committee to be responsible to the congress itself. —A. and N.Z.
