FARMERS’ UNION
BAY OF PLENTY RALLY The Farmers’ Union rally, which has been conducted throughout the Bay of Plenty this week, concluded at Opotiki on Friday evening, when Captains Colbeck and Rushworth delivered addresses. Very little interest was aroused among the farmers, only 12 being ' present. The speakers dealt with the Dairy Control Board, pricefixing farm lands, dear money, agricultural banks and taxation. The speakers soundly rated the Coates’ Government, which they stated was actually making the situation more difficult for the farmers.
