TIVOLI

“DRUMS OF THE DESERT” “Drums of the Desert,” adapted from Zane “Desert Bound,” is now being: shown at the Tivoli Theatre. Billed as a afuccessor to “The Vanishing Race,” Paramount’s latest really does look imposing. It deals with an attempt of oil thieves to despoil Navajo Indians of their rightful possession, the reservation on whic they live. What happens when a white man attempts to befriend them, and is in turn despised by his white companions, provides “Drums of the Desert” with more than its share of action. Warner Baxter, Marietta Millner and Ford Sterling are featured. The strong supporting cast is headed by Wallace MacDonald, Bernard Siegel, George Irving, Guy Oliver and Heinie Conklin.
