DEVONPORT BY-ELECTION
The first nomination for the Devonport Borough by-election was lodged to-day, Mr. Thos. Walsh being nominated by Messrs. C. M. Browne, W. M. Chapman and E. P. Titchener. Nominations close on Wednesday, and the election, if one is needed, will take place on November 28. Mr. T. Walsh, besides being closely associated with many organisations in Devonport. is president of the Waitemata Chamber of Commerce and hon. secretary of the North Shore Expansion League.
