DEVONPORT WELCOMES CHAMPION BATSMAN
INURING the tea interval at Devonport on Saturday, the Shore Club extended a "Welcome Home” to C. C. Dacre, the Shore captain. Dr. H. C. Bennett, president, voiced the congratulations of the local enthusiasts and the pride Devonport had taken in Dacre’s bril- . liant performances. In a brief response, “Ces‘* thanked his old fri.ends for their kind greetings, and regretted that under medical orders he was not playing on Saturday, but trusted to be in the field for the next match.
