A child, named Bertha Ellen Harriet Bennett, aged three years and eight months, died in hospital yesterday as the result of burns received on Saturday. The child was left in the house at her parents’ home, Pungapunga, near Manunui, while the fath&r went outside temporarily. A few minutes later another child ran out to the father to say her sister was on fire.
