Now that he has received official intimation that there is dissatisfaction among those concerned in the transport services in and around Auckland, the Prime Minister has promised that representations will receive the consideration of the Government. Hitherto Mr. Coates would say nothing on the question, because he said he had received no public or official representation. The Ellerslie Town Board has communicated by telegraph with the Prime Minister, and also with §c. W. J. Jordan, member for Mani|.au, -indicating their protest again it. the discontinuance of the through bus services. Mr. Jordan, in the House, asked for more representation for Greater Auckland on the licensing authority. Mr. Coates admitted that the telegram indicated that things were not so satisfactory as one would have thought previously. He had already communicated his opinion to the Auckland City Council, and the Government would consider any representations since that date.
