TREATMENT FOR TRAYS
Often the polished surfaces of tables and sideboards become sadly scratched by heavily-laden trays. It is not easy to lay these down very gently when one is carrying the bulk of a family meal thereon and these scratching casualties nearly always result. It is quite simple to overcome the trouble, however, by covering the bottom of the tray with baize. Just cut a piece to fit the underneath surface and fix with household glue—the kind that is conveniently sold in tubes—which ensures a neat littlo job.
