DIXIELAND
NOVELTIES GALORE Carnival night will be held as usual at Dixieland to-night. Dixieland has long been Auckland's fashionable resort, and the Saturday dances still continue to grow in popularity. The afternoon session is held from three o’clock to five, and in the evening from eight o’clock till midnight. On Wednesday, November 23, a monster Maori night will be held, when Jack Wilson and his ten Waihua warriors will give an exhibition of the Maori haka and poi dance. It is the intention of the management to conduct a series of original competitions, which will be organised by Mr. G. Thorpe, late manager of the Palais de Dance, St. Kilda, Melbourne. Details will be published later.
