POWER LOAN SUPPORTED
MEETING AT HENDERSON A well-attended meeting of the ratepayers of the Henderson Valley was held last evening in Ferndale Hall, Mr. R. Royle Fisher presiding. Interesting addresses were given by Messrs. Leighton and Kennings, members of the Waitemata Power Board, who explained the loan proposals and gave a detailed account of the board’s stewardship. The following resolution, moved by Mr. Alexander, and seconded by Mr. Driller, was carried unanimously: “That those present decided to support the loan proposal and do their best to induce ratepayers to go to the poll. - ’ The meeting concluded with votes of thanks to the members.
