THIEVES FIRE SHOP

BURGLARY AT METHVEN Press Association. ASHBURTON, Friday. Mr. W. C. Battson’s drapery and soft goods emporium at Methven was broken into this morning and a quantity of stock removed. The thieves evidently gained admission by the front door, as it was found open this morning. They set fire to some material, but before the blaze attained any dimensions it was discovered by the brigade, which was returning from another fire at the residence of Mr. James Robinson, which was severely damaged.
