IDLE TRIO PREFERS THEFT TO WORK

UNSAVOURY RECORDS IMPRISONMENT FOR ALL THERE was a rugged trio in the A Police Court to-day. It consisted of James Cromwell, aged 52, George Harrison, aged 48, and Andrew Dodds, aged 49. They pleaded guilty to charges of being idle and disorderly. Dodds also admitted stealing a bundle of sacks valued at 275. Chief-Detective Cummings said that the accused were not fond of work, and preferred to live by thieving. Cromwell had 47 convictions, and Harrison was a sneak-thief. They had been seen ‘'hanging round” parked cars. Harrison and Cromwell were sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, and Dodds was sentenced to a month on one charge, and two months on thfe other.
