CLEANING GILT FRAMES

Gilt frames need very gentle treatment during cleaning. Whatever the medium used, apply it lightly with a sponge or ooft brush. Carbonate of soda is good, a teaspoonful to a breakfastcupful of warm water. Crush on this liquid, then follow with gentle rinsing with plain water, warm, and also lightly applied with a soft clean brush. Dab dry with a soft clean rag.
