EMPIRE
“THE COWBOY COP” Exchanging his chaps, sombrero and spurs for the uniform of a policeman, Tom Tyler rides, fights and loves in his own inimitable way in “The Cowboy Cop,” his first offering that has the city and not a western ranch as its background. This smashing picture, bubbling with laughs, romance and typical Tyler thrills, is now being shown at the Empire Theatre. Tom is again accompanied by his two little pals, Frankie Daro and his dog, “Sitting Bull,” who helps him capture the crooks and win the girl of his heart. The story, written by Frank Richardj iwn Pierce, has a splendidly capable j cast headed by the charming Jean j Arthur, who makes her role of Virginia J Selby, the heiress whose heart is won j by an ex-cowboy, one of intense sympathy and loveliness. | “Naughty But Nice,” starring Colleen J Moore, is also being screened.
