Before Mr. Justice Reed in the j Supreme Court this morning, William Harding petitioned for a divorce. Outlining the facts, Mr. Gould said the petitioner was a resident of Christchurch. He was married on March 28, 1894. There were two children. In 1917 the respondent went to America and upon her return she was cold and indifferent in her man- , ner. From then on she became difficult to get on with. In 1919 she broke up the home and took her daughter to Wellington, where she stayed 3 2 months. The petitioner and his son boarded out. The resondent returned later, but refused to take a home. 1 She lived in one room with her daughter. This went on until 1923 when she left him again and had never returned.
