CLIMAX OF SEASON
SELECTING THE CHAMPIONS The Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association fixture on December 2 and 3, being the last of a series of the spring and summer shows, offers & great opportunity to test out the champions. In short it will select the champion of champions. Situated between two great dairying districts, the Waikato and the North, Auckland has a unique claim to metropolitan status. Shorthorns, Jerseys, sheep and pigs will be awarded North Island championships, and in all the other breeds and in hack, hunters, thoroughbreds and draughts, metropolitan championships will be awarded. As a special inducement to breeders to send of their best, in all the North Island championships, handsome awards are made in addition to the scheduled prizes and ribbons. Sales of pedigree stock have been arranged for tlie morning of both show days. Indications point to this show eclipsing all previous efforts. Entries close on November 10, horticulture November 24, and no late entries will be received. In past years the majority of the entries have not come in until practically the date of closing, but this year, in response to the appeal of the association, an unprecedented number of entries have already been received.
