Unknown Man’s Body Found

GRAFTON DISCOVERY

ELDERLY MAN’S FATE

The body of a man about 60 years °* age, believed to be Thomas Williams, was discovered about mid-day in the deepest part of the gully beneath the Grafton Bridge. It is believed that the body had lain there about a week until found by a dog belonging to a man walking through the bush. The position of the body, and injuries, are believed to be indicative of suicide by leaping from the bridge. The neck was broken. A monthly war pension certificate for the sum of £5 8s 4d, and bearing the name Thomas Williams, was found in the clothing on the body. The man is about sft Sin in height, is heavily built, and was shabbily clothed.
