“GIVE SUMMER TIME A FAIR TRIAL”
MANUFACTURERS’ REQUEST
IVE the new summer time a fair trial before condemning it,” was the request voiced by the Auckland Manufacturers’ Association yesterday afternoon. The meeting of the executive expressed the hope that all sections of the community would do this. Mr. B. Buttle asked if the association could do something to discourage those people who were ignoring the law of the country. “They are passing through the same period as they did in England,” remarked Mr. J. A. C. Allum, “and I believe they ruined the rrjovement by these tactics.” A Member: They should give it a fair trial.
