KIDDIES HAVE DAY OUT AT WAIUKU

On Saturday the Waiuku Athletic Sports Club gave the children of the district a treat by providing a sports programme in the afternoon and a bonfire in the evening, on the Education Reserve. Shortly before 8 p.m. a large bonfire was lit and a fine collection of fireworks of all description were let off by an energetic band of the sports committee, who are deserving of thanks for providing such a pleasant afternoon and evening's entertainment for the young folk.
