Auckland Club
A consolation match in the form of a bogey competition for those who had not won a competition during the season was played by members of the Auckland Golf Club on Saturday, 4o players taking part. The course was in splendid order. The match was won by T. G. Kissling with a score of 4 up. The best cards are as foUows:—T. G. Kissling (5), 4 up; F. A. Darga\iVle 0-0. 3 up- C. N. Jacobsen (9), 3 up; F. Wilson (12), 3 up; A. O. Boddington (5), 2 up; N. Louisson (5), 2 up; G. H. Abel (4), 2 up; C. A. Bowen (3), all square; W. G. Borrie (8), all square. Next Saturday will be the closing day of the season. Mixed foursomes will be played, and during the afternoon prizes won during the season will be presented.
Auckland Ladies
Following were the best scores returned in the monthly medal competition played bv the members of the Auckland Ladies Golf Club: —Seniors: Mrs. Ferguson, 84— 10, 74; Mrs. Robertson, So—9, 76: Mrs. Rutherford, 90—13, 77; Miss E. Wilson, 91—13, 78. Juniors: Miss E. Mahoney, 97 —26, 71; Miss M. Walkley, 113—36, 77. A medal match will be played to-mor-row for prizes presented by Mrs. and Miss E. Culling. The closing day of the season has been postponed until November 25, when Canadian foursomes will be played in the morning. The annual meeting will be held in the afternoon and will be followed by the presentation of prizes won during the season. For the remainder of the season, the second, ninth, twelfth and sixteenth , holes will be played from the men’s tees and scores will only be accepted -when played from these tees.
Akarana Ladies The Akarana Ladies’ Golf Club closec its winter season last week. The fourball best-ball bogey match was won bj Mrs. Gilmore and Mrs. Young, 5 up. Ir the afternoon driving and the putting competitions were held. Miss O’Darraci won the longest drive, Miss Peet approaching and putting, and Mrs. Cox putting.
