HORSES FOR WHANGAREI Although an off-day at Ellerslie, several trainers gave their charges fast work this morning before departing for Whangarei to-morrow morning by the special horse train leaving at 9.40 a.m. On the course proper (one trestle out), Borabarder and Piet were companions in a sprint over five furlongs in 1.6 4-5. On number two grass Carinthia moved over six furlongs in 1.24, going at an easy, pace throughout. Since the recent Thames meeting, golden Wedding has been acquitting really well in her track essays it Ellerslie. She will make the trip 10 whangarei, where she is an acrsptor for two events
