OLD MAN DROWNED

WANDERS FROM HOME BODY IN WAIROA RIVER Press Association. DARGAVILLE, To-day. An old age pensioner named Peter Brown, aged about 72, was found floating in the river yesterday morning. The old man left the boardinghouse where he had spent the night early in the morning and his body was noticed in the river about 10.30 and recovered a few miles down by a launch which was sent in search. At the inquest a verdict was returned of, “Found drowned, with no evidence to show how he came to be in the water.” He had not been in good health, and it is thought he had a seizure.
