RADIO FROM ENGLAND

LONG-DISTANCE MUSIC HAMILTON MAN’S SUCCESS (From Our Otcn Correspondent) HAMILTON. To-day. A Hamilton “listener-in” reports that since 11 p.m. on Saturday he has been receiving radio broadcast from SSW with a wave-length of 24 metres and messages were still being received on a two-valve set this morning. The station is located in Chelmsford, England, and is apparently a new one undergoing tests. Reports from broadcasters announced that gramophone music and other items had been heard in Australia, but no mention was made of New Zealand. A message from Hastings states the records were also heard in that town.
