PRINCESS

“BROADWAY NIGHTS” A now typo of “mother love” story is being unfolded on the screen of the Princess Theatre this week, where Lois Wilson is featured in “Broadway Nights,” the colourful theatre; story produced by Robert Kane for First National release. How a, mother decides she must leave her husband for the sake of her child, instead of stay with him for the child’s future, as is usually the case is one of the highlights of the vivid screen story. Sam Hardy, Louis John Bertels, Barbara Stariwiek, and Philip Strange support the lovely Lois. Gertrude Hogan, who played with Betty Bronson in “A Kiss for Cinderella,” plays the role of the child of theatrical parents. Joseph Boyle directed with Charles IVlaguire and Karl Roebuck acting as his assistants. Ralph Lewis, one of the screen’s foremost character artists, has caused a great deal of comment by his excellent handling of his role in “Held By the Law,” the Universal-Jewel production also being shown at the Princess Theatre. Lewis’s role is one of the most dramatic in his entire screen career and his performance in it is outstanding. Marguerite de la Motte and Johnnie \\ ulker play the leading roles in “Held By the Law,” with Robert Ober. K. J. Ratcliffe, P'red KelMaude W ayne and others in supF'rnk and Ayres, the marvel skaters v ill make their last appearance on the stage to-night.
