YACHT RACE TO ISLINGTON BAY

RICHMOND CLUB EVENT

Another cruising race, this time to Islington Bay, will be held to-morrow afternoon by the Richmond Cruising Club. The race will start at 2.30 p.m. and the course will be from Ponsonby Wharf direct to Islington Bay, keeping the channel side of the Sandspit Beacon, Bean Rock light, and the black buoy off Rangitoto wharf, finishing between the Quarry Wharf and a mark moored east. Following are the entries and handicaps:—Kokiri, on the wind, scr., off wind, scr.; Mowai, lOmin. and omin; Matariki, 15min. and lOmin; Magic, 19min. and smin; Wild Wave, 20min and 16min.; Sun, 22min. and 8 min; Kathleen, 26min and 16min. Mr. Ivo Dennis will act as starter, and Mr. T. L. Thompson as timekeeper and judge. *
