Negro Breaks Own Record: Leaps Over Twenty-Six Feet
DE HART HUBBARD, the famous American negro athlete, accomplished an amazing “double” at Cincinatti on September 17. He broke his own world’s record for the broad jump with a magnificent leap of 26ft. 2iin. In the same afternoon, he ran a hundred yards in 9 3-ssec., which is only a fraction below Paddocks world’s record of Oisec.
