PRINCE EDWARD
“WOMEN LOVE DIAMONDS”
Pauline Starke, whose classic beauty has graced such screen successes as ‘‘Love’s Blindness” and- “Bright Lights.” has come into her real triumph.
She achieves it in ‘‘Women Love Diamonds,” which will be shown this evening at the Prince Edward Theatre, Edmund Goulding's sensational drama of modern society life, a poignant romance and a scathing expose of the hidden side of smart society and the idle rich.
The cast is a notable Ane, including Owen Moore, Douglas Fairbanks, junr., ; Lionel Barrymore and others of note ; among the famous players are Gwen j Lee. George Cooper, Cissy Fitzgerald, , Dorothy Phillips and others equally well-known.
Spectacular scenes in fashionable apartments, in the estates of millionj aires, and other elaborate detail mark i the production: gorgeous costumes, jewellery and reproductions of many of the pet fads of society to-day are used as embellishments for a powerful j narrative that lays bare human souls. -Why Girls Go Back Home” will • also be screened to-night*
