BRIXTON ROAD SCHOOL GROUND IMPROVEMENTS

The work of improving the playing areas, and the formation iff playgrounds, at Brixton Road School, is to be commenced almost immediately, and tenders are being called for tarring, sanding, and the formation of grounds and paths. The formation of a playground on the Brixton Road frontage, and the laying down of two full-sizecl basketball grounds, will be part of the work now proceeded with. At the end of last year a successful queen carnival was held, and with a Government £ for £ subsidy, a sum sufficient to put in hand the laying out of the grounds was raised.
