BLACK AND WHITE CABS’ IMITATOR
GAOL FOR CONTEMPT SENTENCE DEFERRED FOR MONTH Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. Another phase of the duel between the Black and White Cabs Company and other car-owners accused of imitating the company’s colours was before the Supreme Court yesterday, when, for the third time, Edward Stanford appeared, this time to answer a charge of contempt of court in not complying with the order to paint his cab indifferently. Judge* MacGregor committed him to prison for two months, but suspended sentence for a month to give accused another chance. Counsel for the company agreed to this course, on condition that the cab be repainted and costs paid within that time.
