Statistics show that the losses of sheep in Queensland owing to the drought in 1926 were 5.335,000. It is predicted that the 192, returns will be equally bad, there being an additional loss of nearly a million in the potential increase, as only 11 per cent, of the sheep at the end of the year were under a year old. —A. and N.Z.
